Life with a Club Foot

I took Sam back to the hospital yesterday. The full length brace they made him on Wednesday rubbed 4 pressure spots and the back of his knee raw. The wound care nurse was called in and she said that he looks OK and told me how to keep the open wounds clean.

Kim, the physical therapist, made Sam a new short brace (an AFO) and a removable knee and hip piece. He only has to wear the removable part at night. He will wear the new AFO during the day. We sure hope this helps. Our poor little man has been through enough.

They had broccoli for lunch and the pictures were just too cute not to share!
